China builds cyberweapon to capture enemy satellites
Chinese experts are trying to imitate the signals that satellites receive from their operators, either completely intercepting control or causing them to fail at critical moments, according to the Financial Times, citing leaked US intelligence data.
A report prepared by the CIA said that this would allow China "to seize control of the satellite, making it ineffective in supporting communications, weapons, surveillance and intelligence systems."
